Interaction Design

Interaction Design

We help clients create effective experiences for customers through a range of hands-on design services: everything from visualising early concepts and use cases right through to delivering full user interface designs for build

Some clients we work with already have highly effective internal design teams. Others have little to no existing design expertise. In either scenario, Amberlight provides the appropriate levels of external user expertise to help our client get the job done.

Some examples of the type of design services Amberlight provides include:

  • Concept design – we can facilitate design work with internal stakeholders and users to draw out high level product ideas through storyboarding and early, lightweight prototyping
  • Interaction design & prototyping – we develop fully interactive prototypes that don’t involve real code or backend processes so we can fully test and refine the user experience efficiently – before code bases and project deadlines mean it’s  too expensive to make changes!
  • Agile UX – we provide researchers and designers to integrate with clients’ internal or third party development teams to ensure software projects put the customer at the heart of the development lifecycle
  • UX Standards – documenting best-practice for user interface (UI) design helps organisations streamline design and development projects without compromising on the quality of the end user experience. Standardised user experience design means that development teams can make intelligent reuse of UI components and apply branding correctly, knowing these have been validated by UX experts. We can document best practices as UI specifications, style guides or even HTML Pattern Libraries which provide developers with the actual code, ensuring the final product behaves exactly as intended in design and is compliant with  HTML and W3C WAI accessibility standards.
